The Chief Executive Officer of ILT20, David White, and former New Zealand cricketer, shared his enthusiasm and appreciation for the significant contribution of Pakistani players in the ongoing ILT20 2024 tournament.
In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, White expressed, “I find it absolutely fantastic that Pakistani players are participating. They are truly exceptional. Personally, I have a soft spot for Pakistani players, and I believe they have produced some of the finest talents in the world.”
White specifically highlighted the impact and skill of Shaheen Shah Afridi in the tournament, stating, “It’s great to have Shaheen Shah Afridi here.”
Underlining the close relationship between New Zealand and Pakistan, White pointed out the recent bilateral series between the two nations. “We share a very close relationship with Pakistan. They have recently competed against New Zealand, and I understand that New Zealand is set to return to Pakistan, which will be excellent preparation for the T20 World Cup,” he added.
Discussing the overall talent pool in Pakistan, White emphasized the nation’s robust player base and competitive nature. “Pakistan has always been rich in talent with a very strong player base. They are highly competitive. While there may be occasional volatility, they consistently manage to produce top-tier players,” he concluded
