Cumilla Victorians secured a 34-run victory against Khulna Tigers in the 23rd match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at home on Wednesday.

Choosing to bat first, Cumilla Victorians got off to a strong start with opener Litton Das, the Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batsman, scoring an impressive 45 runs from 30 balls.

Relying on contributions from Pakistani batsmen Riwan (21) and Will Jacks (22), Cumilla set a target of 150 runs for Khulna Tigers. Aamer Jamal, another Pakistani player, shone with the ball, taking five wickets, making the chase difficult for Khulna Tigers.

In pursuit of the target, Anamul Haque showed promise but fell while attempting a cute shot. Evin Lewis struggled at the other end, watching his teammates Afif, Akbar Ali, and Parvez Hossain Emon fall before succumbing to the pressure of the required run rate.

Although Khulna still had the dangerous duo of Nawaz and Faheem lower down the order, Aamer Jamal dismissed both to finish with a five-wicket haul. Mohammad Wasim Jr made a commendable cameo at the end, but it wasn’t enough for Khulna.

Litton utilized five bowlers, all of whom took wickets. The playing XIs were as follows:
