Fast bowlers Chloe Ainsworth and Lucy Hamilton have earned their first national contracts, while Nicola Carey retains her spot following an upgrade during Australia’s recent West Indies tour.

Players not on this initial list, including Tayla Vlaeminck and Tess Flintoff, can still earn a contract during the year by accruing 12 upgrade points—five for a Test, and two each for ODI or T20I appearances. Alyssa Healy has retired and is not part of the list.

Shawn Flegler, Cricket Australia’s Head of Performance (Women’s Cricket) and National Selector, said, “It’s exciting to see Lucy Hamilton and Chloe Ainsworth earn their first national contracts, reflecting their talent and impact at the domestic level. Nicola Carey retains her recent upgrade after strong performances. While Tayla and Tess aren’t on the list this year, we’ll continue supporting their development—they remain in contention for selection. With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and key series ahead, we are confident this group has the depth and skill to perform while creating opportunities for others to push into the squad.”
