Chattogram Challengers secured a 10-run victory against Fortune Barishal in a Bangladesh Premier League encounter at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Avishka Fernando, the opener for Challengers, played a stellar role, smashing an unbeaten 91 off 50 balls, adorned with five fours and seven sixes. Curtis Campher, the all-rounder, complemented the batting onslaught by contributing a quickfire 29 off nine balls, including three fours and two sixes. This dynamic partnership propelled Chattogram to a formidable total of 193 for four, marking the season’s highest score.
Campher continued to shine as he played a crucial role with the ball, taking four wickets for 20 runs. His impactful bowling included dismissing three of Barishal’s top-five batsmen, namely Tamim Iqbal (33), Soumya Sarker (17), and Mahmudullah Riyad (17). Campher’s exceptional all-round performance limited Barishal to 183 for seven, securing Chattogram Challengers’ victory and adding to Barishal’s woes with their third consecutive loss in the tournament.
