The Champions One Day Cup will begin on September 12 at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Saud Shakeel are strong candidates for the captaincy. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s participation is still under discussion. Waqar Younis wants to include Shaheen Afridi in his team, the Lions, to focus on his bowling.
Waqar Younis will mentor the Lions, Sarfaraz Ahmed will guide the Dolphins, Saqlain Mushtaq will lead the Panthers, and Shoaib Malik will mentor the Stallions.
Champions One-Day Cup Schedule Set
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Nadeem Khan as the director for the Champions Cup. Discussions are also underway about including centrally contracted players in the tournament.
