According to reports, the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested Chandrasekhar, a canteen worker employed at the Sri Lakshmi Canteen inside the stadium premises, for his alleged involvement in black marketing of tickets.

Investigators also claimed that the racket may have links within the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). A KSCA member, identified as Ganesh Pareekshit, is currently absconding and is suspected of supplying tickets to Chandrasekhar, who allegedly resold them at inflated prices in the secondary market.

Reports suggest that the accused used Ticketgenie, the official ticketing platform for RCB matches, to book corporate tickets under the names of private entities and later divert them into the black market at premium rates. Authorities have found similar patterns in ticket bookings across multiple matches held at the venue this season.

Earlier, 81 tickets worth over ₹6.6 lakh were allegedly booked under the names of Swastik Heavy Engineering and Industrial Automation Consultant Company and Dharani Computers Company. A case has been registered against the managing directors of these firms for their alleged role in facilitating illegal ticket sales.

In another instance, around 100 more tickets were reportedly resold in the black market, with individual prices ranging between ₹15,000 and ₹19,000. Officials believe the scale of the racket could be even larger, as demand for RCB home matches continues to drive ticket prices sharply higher in unofficial markets.
