The announcement was made on Wednesday, paving the way for these players to join their respective franchises for the upcoming season.

The players cleared by the PCB include Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, and Sahibzada Farhan, along with Hussain Talat, Ihsanullah, Haider Ali, Abrar Ahmed, Khawaja Nafay, and Salman Irshad, according to a report by Geo Super. Several other Pakistani cricketers, including Saim Ayub, Mohammad Amir, Usman Khan, Khushdil Shah, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Akif Javed, had already signed with BPL teams directly. Four more players were selected during the BPL auction held in Dhaka on November 30. The issued NOCs will remain valid until January 23, 2026, allowing almost full participation throughout the league.

The 2025–26 BPL season will run from December 26, 2025, to January 24, 2026, featuring five teams—down from seven last year. Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders continue in the tournament, while Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Sylhet have new ownership and have been rebranded as Chattogram Royals, Rajshahi Warriors, and Sylhet Titans. Last season’s champions, Fortune Barishal, along with Khulna Tigers, will not take part this season.

A total of 34 matches will be played this season, including league-stage games and all playoffs such as Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final. The tournament, initially scheduled for early 2026, was moved to the December–January window due to Bangladesh’s general elections and the ICC T20 World Cup schedule.
