Rifat Baig, representing BKSP, etched his name in Bangladesh cricket history by becoming the first player to achieve a triple century in age-group cricket. This remarkable feat unfolded during the semi-final clash against Dhaka Metro in the Sheikh Kamal U-18 National Cricket Competition.

Baig’s unbeaten innings of 320 runs off 483 balls showcased his exceptional talent and determination as an opener. His stellar performance played a pivotal role in propelling BKSP to a commanding position in the tournament.

In the second semi-final at the Shahid AHM Kamaruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi, Dhaka Metro faced a formidable challenge, losing all their wickets for a mere 143 runs. BKSP’s captain, Tafseer Arafat, led the bowling attack with finesse, securing four crucial wickets, while Farhan Shahriar contributed with three dismissals.

Responding to Dhaka Metro’s total, BKSP’s first innings culminated in an impressive 549 runs, largely due to Baig’s monumental achievement. Baig’s unbeaten knock, lasting a staggering 650 minutes, was adorned with 29 boundaries and four towering sixes, underscoring his dominance on the field.

With Baig’s exceptional contribution, BKSP established a commanding lead of 406 runs by the conclusion of the first innings, firmly asserting their dominance in the competition.
