England Test captain Ben Stokes, celebrated as one of the premier all-rounders in modern cricket, is set to join MI Cape Town for the third season of SA20.

Stokes, known for his dynamic fast bowling and explosive batting, has delivered numerous match-winning performances throughout his career. His notable feats include his dramatic innings at Headingley and his pivotal knock in the 2019 ODI World Cup final.

Although Stokes is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, he is expected to be fit for England’s tour of Pakistan in October, positioning him to make a significant impact for MI Cape Town. Over his career, Stokes has amassed 3,023 runs in 159 T20 matches, averaging 24.77 with a strike rate of 133.23. He has also taken 90 wickets. He returns to Newlands, where he previously scored a memorable 258 runs off 198 balls against South Africa, hoping to bring that form to his new team.
