Shakib has been experiencing subtle issues with his left eye. After consulting eye specialists in Bangladesh and abroad, it was confirmed that he has Extrafoveal Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSR) in the left eye. The medical team has decided to take a conservative approach for now. This condition affects the retina, causing visual disturbances. Despite the issue, Shakib is expected to be available for the next fixture against Khulna Tigers, according to Rangpur Rider’s CEO Ishtiaq Sadek.
“Shakib is returning to the country. He will travel to Sylhet tomorrow (25th January) 4pm. He will play for us against Khulna.” Ishtiaq said.
