The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad for the tour of South Africa with Shakib Al Hasan. But just before the tour, Shakib suddenly left for Dubai on Sunday.
“Before I leave the country, i don’t think it’s possible for me to play international cricket at the moment (in South Africa).
The country’s cricket board is very angry with Shakib for his sudden departure to Dubai on a personal tour without informing anyone. Due to this, the BCB has rested Shakib from all forms of cricket till April 30.
BcB’s Cricket Operations Committee chairman Jalal Yunus confirmed the news to reporters on Wednesday. He said Shakib has been rested from all forms of cricket till April 30.
Jalal Younis said, “We want Shakib to play in all formats of cricket. But he has sought rest from the South Africa series. It wouldn’t be right to push him. Considering that, we made this decision.
