Enhanced pay and allowances
BCB Media Committee Chairman Amzad Hossain confirmed that the daily allowance for women cricketers has been increased from $50 to $75, while tour fees have doubled from $25 to $50.

Central contract details
Currently, 15 women cricketers are included in Bangladesh’s central contract, with salaries divided into four categories:

CategoryMonthly Salary (Tk)
A1,60,000
B1,35,000
C95,000
D80,000

Players outside the central contract but representing the national team will receive salaries according to Category D. All contracted players will benefit from the 35% pay raise.

Additional incentives for leadership
The national team captain will receive an extra 30,000 Tk per month, while the vice-captain will get 20,000 Tk on top of their regular salary.

Expanding opportunities
In addition to the salary revision, BCB has increased the number of players on the women’s national contract from 30 to 35, aligning it more closely with the structure for male first-class cricketers. This move aims to attract more talent and encourage cricket as a viable profession for women in Bangladesh.

Amzad Hossain added, “The board has approved the salary hike and enhanced allowances to motivate our women cricketers. It’s a step forward in recognizing their contribution and promoting the sport.”
