“I try to perform wherever I play,” Nasir Hossain said before the start of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). He also said that he will take the opportunity to be included in the national team after playing well in the DPL.
He wants to get back the title of ‘Bad Boy’ and get back the title of ‘Mr. Finisher’.
The one-time recognized all-rounder of the national team is going to keep his word.
He scored a century for Prime Bank Cricket Club in the DPL. After playing exactly 100 balls, Nasir hit 13 fours and two sixes to reach the three-figure mark.
The all-rounder picked up the century against the Rupganj Tigers on Friday at the BKSP’s No. 4 ground in Savar.
Nasir has already picked up a century after the national team’s one-time opener Enamul Vijay.
Prime Bank is on the way to a big collection in these two centuries.
At the end of 42 overs at the time of writing this report, Prime Bank’s collection was 265 for 3. Enamul stopped at 127 runs. Nasir is unbeaten on 104. But he has also retired injured due to cramping in his leg and has gone to the dressing room.
After losing the toss and electing to bat, Prime Bank opener Shahadat Hossain Deepu was dismissed before opening the scoring account. But another opener Vijay continued to play. India’s Pride Ishwar (21) was dismissed after adding 39 runs for the second wicket.
Nasir and Vijay then added 196 runs for the third wicket partnership. Vijay was dismissed for 127 off 125 balls with eight fours and sixes in the 13th List A century of his career.
Nasir completed his century by hitting a boundary through the third man in the over of Vijay’s return to the dressing room.
