BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla praised the International Cricket Council (ICC) for successfully mediating the issue. He highlighted the efforts of ICC representatives, who held discussions with both the PCB and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to ensure a positive outcome.

“I am delighted to see the outcome of the deliberations initiated by ICC representatives, supervised by the ICC Chairman, who engaged with Pakistan and Bangladesh Cricket Boards,” Shukla said. “It’s an amicable solution that prioritizes the importance of cricket. All kudos to ICC for taking this initiative and resolving the issue.”

Shukla added that the ICC deserves full credit for facilitating dialogue and ensuring Pakistan’s participation in one of the tournament’s most anticipated matches. “This is a significant achievement for ICC. I would like to thank them for bringing Pakistan to the table and confirming their play in the Colombo match,” he stated.
