KKR’s campaign has been far from ideal, with the franchise still searching for consistency. The defeat against CSK also extends KKR’s worrying losing streak, with the side now having lost six consecutive IPL matches, a run that matches their second-worst streak in tournament history.
In the match, CSK posted a competitive total of 192/5, with notable contributions from Sanju Samson (48) and Dewald Brevis (41). Kartik Tyagi was the pick of the bowlers for KKR with figures of 2/35.
In response, KKR managed 160 runs in their chase, with Ramandeep Singh top-scoring with 35, as the rest of the batting lineup failed to build momentum, falling short of the target once again.
