Mujeeb Ur Rahman, a crucial player for Afghanistan, has played 46 T20 International matches and taken 59 wickets with an impressive economy rate of 6.35.

He played only one match in Group C of the T20 World Cup, where he performed excellently, taking 1 wicket for 16 runs in three overs against Uganda.

Unfortunately, Mujeeb sustained a significant injury to his right index finger joint, forcing him out of the tournament.

To fill his spot, Hazratullah Zazai will join the team as approved by the ICC Event Technical Committee.

Afghanistan will now face India, Australia, and the second-placed team from Group D (likely Bangladesh) in the Super Eight stage.
