Afridi, the right-arm pacer, underwent a scan that showed no significant injury. He will be managed based on symptoms, and his availability for the last two games will be announced later, according to PCB. Afridi, who debuted in the first T20I, took five wickets in two matches. His absence is a significant blow to the team, as he and Haris Rauf were the leading wicket-takers despite being on the losing side. New Zealand is currently ahead in the Twenty20 international series, leading 2-0 after winning the second T20I against Pakistan by 21 runs.
