The charges largely relate to the Bim10 tournament in 2023-24, governed by the CWI Anti-Corruption Code, while two other charges pertain to International Matches under the ICC Code.

Jones faces the following allegations:

  • Breach of Article 2.1.1 (CWI Code): Fixing, attempting to fix, or otherwise improperly influencing the outcome, progress, or conduct of matches in the Bim10 tournament.
  • Breach of Article 2.4.2 (CWI Code): Failing to disclose details of any approaches or invitations to engage in conduct that would breach the CWI Code.
  • Breach of Article 2.4.4 (CWI Code): Failing or refusing to cooperate with a reasonable investigation by the designated Anti-Corruption Official.
  • Breach of Article 2.4.4 (ICC Code): Failing to disclose to the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) full details of any approaches or invitations to engage in corrupt conduct.
  • Breach of Article 2.4.7 (ICC Code): Obstructing the ACU investigation by concealing or tampering with information relevant to the probe.

The ICC stated that these charges are part of a wider investigation, which may lead to further charges against other participants in the future.

Jones now faces a critical period to respond, with his suspension remaining in effect until the outcome of the proceedings.
